Sophia Skoda joined the Martens Centre Team in January 2017. She is currently studying International Business Administration at the University of Vienna, where she specialises in corporate and company law. She has also studied at the University of Maynooth, Ireland, where she specialised in the economics of the European Union.
Sophia is highly interested in higher education policies and therefore has been active in student politics since 2013. At her business faculty, she was international coordinator of the Students Union and she is the international secretary of Aktionsgemeinschaft, the biggest students faction in Austria. Since 2015 she is also Vice Chair of the European Students Union, the students organisation of the European People’s Party.
Before starting her internship, she worked for the national press and social media department of the Austrian People’s Party. Sophia speaks fluent German and English and has a passive knowledge of French and Spanish.
