Prof. Rolf Caesar is a member of the Academic Council of the Institute for European Politics in Berlin and Vice-President of the Working Group on European Integration in Berlin. From 1992 to 2009, he was a professor of finance at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, where he also was the director of the Research Centre for European Integration. His research focus is, among other matters, on the impact of the euro on the political and economic stability in the EU. Caesar has co-signed a euro-critical manifest in the 90s in which 62 professors from Germany (mainly economists) warn about the danger of introducing a euro without the necessary convergence of European economies (Die EG-Währungsunion führt zur Zerreißprobe (1992))
Through our work, we aim to inspire ideas for action and shape responses to European challenges.
