Rebecka studied Law at Jönköping University in Sweden and was awarded an LL.M in Commercial and Tax Law in June 2012. She has specialized in Labour Law and wrote her thesis on the EU Directive of Transfer of Undertakings, analyzing the scope of the employment protection of workers in the event of a legal transfer of employer. As part of her educational program, she spent an exchange semester at Hamline School of Law in Minnesota, the United States, where she took courses in International and American Law. After having received her degree, she held an internship in the office of a Congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington D.C. where she worked with policy analysis in various fields, e.g. Foreign Affairs, Financial Services and Employment. As an intern, she also worked with the Congressional Swedish Caucus, a caucus that strives to strengthen the economic and cultural ties between Sweden and the U.S., as well as with event coordination and general office administration. Prior to joining the CES, she worked for one of Sweden’s largest banks on a Compliance project regarding international Anti-Money-Laundering and Anti-Terrorist-Financing regulations. Her areas of interest are employment and social policy, financial services and taxation. She speaks Swedish, English and French.
