Paula previously worked as an intern at the European Parliament within the office of Maltese MEP Roberta Metsola (EPP). During her time at the European Parliament, Paula worked on policy areas ranging from the internal market to migration to citizens’ petitions. In 2012, she served as an intern at the Malta Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she helped to organise a project on peace-building in the Mediterranean in partnership with the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations. Paula holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in European Studies with Contemporary Mediterranean Studies from the University of Malta. Her areas of interest range from the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy, to migration as well as the role played by social media in politics. Paula speaks Maltese, English and Italian and has a working knowledge of French.
