Milda joined the Martens Centre in December 2017. Before that, she worked as an assistant to an MP at the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania and as a Communication Project Manager at a Lithuania-based public relations agency. Milda also worked with the European Voluntary Service (EVS) as a volunteer in Romania, where she worked on socio-cultural projects for rural communities.
Milda holds a MA degree in International Relations from Central European University, Budapest. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Vilnius University Institute of International Relations and Political Science.
Milda’s professional interests revolve around international security politics and practices, such as emerging autonomous military technologies and human security, the evolution of European security and defence architecture, terrorism, surveillance and internal security. Milda speaks fluent Lithuanian and English, and has a basic knowledge of Russian, Italian and Romanian.
