Bernada was awarded an MA in Political Science by the University of Zagreb, where she majored in International Affairs, Diplomacy and National Security. She also studied political management at the New Bulgarian University and at the Catholic University of Leuven in the Master of European Studies: Transnational and Global Perspectives (MAES) programme. She served as General Secretary and International Secretary of SO HSS in Zagreb. Prior to joining the Centre, Bernada worked as an External Consultant with MIR Consulting in Croatia, an Administrator for European Democratic Students and as an Assistant to the Spokesman of the European People’s Party in Brussels. Since 2011 she has been an Administrator at the Martens Centre with responsibility for managing the organisation of international conferences and other events and internal and external communication. As well as her native Croatian, Bernada speaks English, German and is currently learning French.
