Alexandra is from Dublin, Ireland. She joined the Martens Centre in March 2018. Previously, she interned at European Movement Ireland, a member organisation of the pan-European, European Movement International network. Her internship coincided with the Brexit referendum, cementing her interest in all things related to the UK's departure from the EU. Alexandra remains involved with the organisation as a Committee Member of EM Ireland’s Brussels Branch.
Alexandra obtained her MA degree in European Policy at the University of Amsterdam, where she focused on policy and governance. She also holds a BA degree in History from Trinity College, Dublin and a legal diploma from the Honorable Society of King’s Inns. Alexandra is generally interested in European affairs and policy.
