In the cyber era, where cyberspace has became an independent domain like the land, air, space, and sea, states and non-state actors can covertly strike our critical infrastructures, businesses, service networks, and several means of human communication without crossing any physical boundaries. Cyberwarfare has transformed the definition of war. In today’s information warfare the protection of our citizens and our societies has become a great challenge, as the logic of deterrence can no longer be applied.
