The level of unemployment in Greece is the highest in Europe (about 27%). It is expected to be increased even to 30% next year, as a result of the economic crisis and have a serious political impact on the event of the forthcoming European elections. The Centre for European Studies, the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Konstantinos Karamanlis Institute for Democracy are organizing an open conference entitled 'The aspects of unemployment and the challenge of entrepreneurship'. The aim of this event is to highlight the multidimensional impact of unemployment on social, economic and psychological level, to propose potential solutions to the problem and additionally to examine the role of entrepreneurship in this effort. The key points will be analyzed in comparison to detailed research findings of a national survey regarding the Greek unemployment, political behavior, social issues, the economic environment etc.
