Middle Class Concerns and European Challenges. Presentation in Czechia

The middle class has long been considered as the social ground for political stability and economic wellbeing, with about two-thirds of Europeans still belonging to this classification. Yet, economic crises, geopolitical conflicts, and polarizing debates about culture and values have heavily impacted the prospects of this socio-economic group.

Based on a recent empirical study by the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, this event will present the latest findings on the economic situation, the perceptions, challenges, and hopes of the middle class in all 27 European member states. It will also compare the situation across Europe with a specific analysis of Czechia.
